LOVING ELLY YAP

it has been a while since i'e done a LOVING post. considering i love to tell you all what i love! i stayed up lastnight waiting for a call and entertained myself with this:

this piece from 2006. she has already moved on to painstaking intricate textile patterns.
Australia based ELLY YAP has floored me. her illustrations and textile patterns are deliciously highly detailed and delicately tinged with lively color palletes. a large number of her pieces are based on the form of orchid flowers and the ocean. her fascination with organic texture in haute couture detailing and Japanese textile/illustration makes her close to me in fashion sense. her photography -especially of the Philippines- is nostalgic. and through out her blog she seems to have really pushed her vision of her own pieces.

the enchantingly haunting work of Louise from Art and Ghosts.

HAPPY SILLY, the blog of Swedish illustrator, Sarah Klockan. i loved seeing her whimsical illustrations and all the little things she created for her brand new daughter! very heart warming.

Johanna Monte Aranez's etsy shop. Oh, sweet goodness, how adorable!

The highly detailed and truthful work of Vania Zouravliov.
